Pixels on Rent ?

This is going on my mind from a long time.

I get many many inquiries from advertisers. Not all of them turn into customers though.

One of the enquiries suggested that I give pixels on rent rather than a one time cost which covers 5 years. This was on my mind anyway.

Very shortly, as soon as I get some time, I'm going to turn my pricing model into a rental one. It simply makes more sense.

Guys who enquire with me are the ones who have launched a new online business or a website targetted towards Indian people. They are generally small companies or students studying in university or just pure first time enterpreneurs. Obviously, they don't have a huge budget for advertising to be spent on Rediff or Indiatimes. So, they are bound to look around for affordable alternatives.

In an earnest attempt, http://www.lakhpatipage.com wants to become that alternative.

Renting would make the pricing more affordable and would also provide an exit path quickly. Suppose I rent 100 pixels for Rs 10 per month, for an advertiser to put up a decently conspicous ad would only need Rs 40 per month. This suddenly makes pixel advertising affordable to even college students who are on a short budget !

Now, if they see that they are getting sufficient number of hits on to their sites through http://www.lakhpatipage.com they can continue renting pixels. If they don't see any value, they can drop it and move on looking for other alternatives of advertising.

With this pixel advertising just gets more affordable and more flexible.

Very shortly I'm launching the change of pricing plans for renting pixels. Stay tuned till then.

Future of Pixel advertising (in India)

I have been reading numerous atricles of Pixel Advertising throughout the web. There are mixed feelings about this everywhere. Some say this is just another fad and will die down. Others believe that, although Pixel Advertising dosen't have a solid business advertising model it does have a chance with new upcoming websites and Internet based businesses.

I think, being targetted towards Indian market www.lakhpatipage.com is in a unique position at this point in time.

There are thousands of domain names being registered in India today .Also, there are thousands of websites under development. All these websites, especially the ones who are small business and want to reach a large audience have to find a way to reach people. Pixel advertising, could help all such websites to advertise themselves.

Pixel advertising may not be a large part of their advertising budget, but can at least start them on a firm ground.

To conclude this post, I think Pixel advertising ,especially for India could be a firm ground for small businesses, websites which have launched anew and are looking for quick publicity and user base.

Do pen in some comments with your views or suggestions.

What am I doing for www.lakhpatipage.com marketing?

There have been numerous queries, especially from small business owners asking me what am I doing for marketing my site www.lakhpatipage.com. They keep comparing me to crorepatipage and ask me whether I am planning some press release or something.

I would like to make it clear to all the site visitors that, I'm not exactly sure at this moment how one can get himself a press release. If getting a press release was so simple every body who wants to advertise would have gotten his service a press release.

However, at the same time I understand that crorepatipage managed to do it. I have not yet been able to understand how and would love to have comments from visitors if they know anything of this. I would also like to get some publicity, especially in press or any other media. If anybody has connections in the media where I can get in an article or something I am ready for it. I am willing to pay too.
